The Working Hand

The Working Hand began as an experiment in scale.

It became an exploration of value—not only the value of precious metals, but of labour, resilience, attention, and care.

When large-scale production became impossible, I turned toward what remained available.

Cast in silver, brass, and occasionally gold, each silver pendant weighs one ounce.

The object is simple.

Toward the hand itself.

Toward the smallest unit of making.

Toward the smallest unit of making.

A working hand.

A working hand.

One of humanity’s oldest forms of wealth.

One of humanity’s oldest forms of wealth.

It began with a change in what I could make.

It continues changing in the hands of whoever carries it.
